Bernard Stewart-Deane

With a broad style in oil pastels, soft pastels and acrylics, my interests lie in deconstructed landscapes, still life, boats and portraits.  Tend to sell my work for charities at Open Studios and private ‘café’ displays.

With landscapes, I seek to incorporated disparate elements, compressing the view and simplifying it.  Much influenced by the Fauvists in terms of bright colours and composition.

Have taken courses and workshops with a variety of tutors such as the great John Glover, Andy Dakin and many others.

A member of CDS since 2016.
