Sue Lawley

About 15 years ago I began painting again after a long break. I joined local classes, moved from acrylics to oils and began learning. I was accepted into the Cambridge drawing society 10 years ago and have exhibited with them and in other local exhibitions. In 2019 I completed a one year diploma in oil painting at the Norfolk Painting School and also joined Cambridge Open studios.

My paintings explore the effects and interactions of light, water and reflection. While based on a time or a place, I hope my work also communicates something of the feeling or memory of being there.
