We were invited to sketch at King’s Ely when they opened the gardens during the Eel Festival. As we drew and painted, we could hear the Morris Dancer’s music and lots of chatter from events at the cathedral. The garden was open to everyone so there were many visitors and some chatted to us about CDS, the gardens and our paintings.

Many will remember the weather! Saturday morning was warm and beautiful – in a typical English fashion, it soon turned cold and those of us not dressed appropriately went home a little earlier than expected.
