Many CDS artists will be taking part in an exhibition at King’s Ely from 5th to 10th August in the Hayward Theatre, The Gallery, Ely, CB7 4DH. Featuring works by local professional and amateur artists, and a unique art installation, the exhibition will be a celebration of the Great London Plane tree of Ely, the largest in the UK, and one of the original London Planes. Artworks will include a wide variety of subjects, as well as the tree and its surroundings.

There will also be opportunities to tour the Old Palace gardens and meet the London Plane tree on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August. On Saturday 9th August at 11:00am and 2:00pm, Adam Cormack from The Woodland Trust will give talks about Heritage Trees, and there will be talks about the project to conserve Ely’s London Plane which is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.   Everyone is welcome!
