CDS member Rikki Morgan-Tamosunas has an exhibition starting at Stapleford Granary from 17 September. Her paintings are being shown alongside artwork by another local artist Cat Mellis  in the Cafe Wall gallery at Stapleford Granary.

The dates of the exhibition are: 17 September – 27 October (closed Wednesdays). Opening hours can be found on the Stapleford Granary website: https://www.staplefordgranary.org.uk/stapleford-granary-cafe

Rikki works mainly in acrylics and mixed media, creating visually textured paintings that draw expressively on colour, line, and composition to convey mood and drama. The haunting atmosphere of the Cambridgeshire fenlands is a rich source of inspiration, as are the rugged landscapes of Cumbria and Yorkshire and her experiences of living and travelling in Spain and Latin America.

Her ongoing Fenland series explores the shifting relationship between land, water and light. Through layering, mark-making and expressive use of colour and line, Rikki seeks to convey the mood and atmosphere of these places.

Cat Mellis works primarily in screenprinted monoprints.
