The CDS Spring exhibition has been hung and a catalogue is now available. The exhibition showcases around 400 original artworks across various media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture – almost all for sale. In all, the exhibition features work by 125 artists. It includes work by by 18 new members of the society as well as 107 existing members.

We had a record 78 artists applying to join the society and it was an extraordinarily difficult deciding who to include. “It’s been amazing to see how much buzz there is around the Society at the moment,” say Susan Abbs, President of Cambridge Drawing Society. “We’ve worked hard to make it more welcoming, more dynamic and more relevant. There’s a real energy and sense of community, and it’s made us the society to join if you’re an artist in Cambridge. We’re thrilled to see so many talented people wanting to join us.

The exhibition begins with an exclusive Private View for artists, Friends of the Society, and  collectors by invitation only. It is open to the public from 31st May – 7th June at the Pitt Building, Trumpington Street, Cambridge (open 10:00am-4:00pm every day).
