Long-term CDS Member Sam Motherwell has been drawing pictures of Cambridge since the 1970s. A selection of his artwork, in various media will be exhibited at Cambridge Central Library, on the third floor from Friday 14 November – Friday 19 December. The exhibition will be available when the library is open.

The Cambridgeshire collection is a depository, in the Cambridge Central Public Library, housing local history material, books, newspapers, photographs,  ephemera, etc. It includes a box called the Sam Motherwell collection! Sam has given them everything he had on Cambridge – pictures, drawings, sketchbooks, etc – in all about 700 drawings. There is an entry in their catalogue and, as well as the exhibition, the public are able to see the collection on request in the reading room.
