CDS member Naomi Tomkys OBE has been named one of the Final 50 artists for The British Art Prize 2025. The finalists’ works will be displayed in a major exhibition at the OXO Gallery London, SE1 9PH from Wednesday, 26 November to Sunday, 30 November 2025.

Out of thousands of entries from across the UK and internationally, Tomkys’ vibrant and evocative painting, ‘A Quiet Couple’, has earned her a prestigious spot in this year’s shortlist.

Part of Tomkys’ Punting Series, ‘A Quiet Couple’’ uses loose brushstrokes and bold colours to capture the spirit of summer tourists on the ever-changing River Cam. Through her distinctive style, Tomkys explores the dynamic contrasts of the river, captures both the quiet beauty and human chaos that defines life on the Cam.

The British Art Prize celebrates artists working across various mediums, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and mixed media.
